Latest Trip Review

I completed the Everest Basecamp Trek together with my boyfriend and we booked this trip with footprint. When you come to their website/blog you get a full impression of what you have to expect from this journey. Their online guideline is outstanding and leaves you without any questions. Also the communication after the booking was very fast responding and easy via email. At the second we landed in Kathmandu, footprint took very good care of us. We arrived very early in the morning so we spontaneously expressed the desire to go see Bhakdapur. Said and done. A driver was organized from footprint and we were shown the whole of Bhakdapur 2 hours later. The next day the planned tour started and we met our guide Abhishek (Abi). It didn't take long and we were able to put our fate completely in his hands for the next 10 days. He always ensured a good atmosphere, motivation, and the best lunches and dinners. He always made sure that we didn't lack anything. He introduced us in the nepali life, culture, mountain life and we had great conversations every evening. He is a very kind soul and we couldnt wish for a better guide. Also our porter Arjun was such a lovely human beiing. After reaching the destination, the Everest basecamp, my boyfriend got sick and Abi did his best to make him feel better quickly and survive the return trip well. He ensured the right hot drinks at the right time and didn't hold back with typical Nepalese home medicine. Abi and Arjun took really good care of him. No matter what would happen on this trek, we felt very well looked after in Abhishek's company. All the accommodations felt very familiar and thanks to Abi we didn't miss anything. I experienced several other groups including guides during the trek and the good relationships between the company of footprint and the locals really stood out. We have a couple of friends who are also interested to trek through Nepal and I will highly recommend them footprint! I still want to do Annapurna trek, so footprint will be always my choice.
We had not take care of anything except walking and making memories for a lifetime. We will never forget this trip and the people of footprint most of all Abhishek our guide and our porter Arjun.

The highlight was exploring Lo Manthang, the ancient city. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating stories about local culture and Buddhist traditions. The landscape was surreal with snow-capped peaks, barren cliffs, and colourful prayer flags everywhere. 

Everything was well organized, and we always felt safe and cared for. Truly one of the best trips we have ever taken. 

Highly recommended for travellers who want to experience adventure and unique culture, and the raw beauty of Nepal.

I recently traveled to Nepal with Footprint Adventure to do the Everest Base Camp Trek, and from the moment I booked the trip until the very last day, everything was organized with great professionalism and care. A special thanks to Sharan, who handled all the details of the trip organization. He was always quick, clear, and efficient in responding to my emails, which gave me great confidence and peace of mind before even setting foot in Nepal.

Also, our guide on EBC, Shantie, was absolutely amazing. She was knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging, always attentive to our needs, and checked on us.

Honestly, I can’t recommend Footprint enough. If you are planning to trek to Everest Base Camp, go with them- you will have an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime journey with guides ( and porters, and the reception team in Kathmandu… The whole team ) who truly care about your safety, comfort, and enjoyment.

Amazing experience!!! Not gonna lie, this was the freshest and most delicious food I had in my two weeks in Nepal. I did the chatamari (Nepali pizza), momos, and mushroom choila side, and they were all so delicious. They were very friendly and helpful. They give you all the directions and recipes, and I’m excited to recreate these at home.

If you’re at all interested in Nepali cuisine or have a little extra time in KTM, I highly recommend this activity! ☺️

The highlight of my trip was Dochula Pass, truly one of the most scenic and spiritually uplifting places in Bhutan.

Located on the way from Thimpu to Punakha, it offers a panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges on clear days, and the sight is absolutely unforgettable. The highlight here is colourful prayer flags and 108 chortens (stupas), built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers and as a symbol of peace. The white stupas, set against the backdrop of pine trees and snow-capped mountains, create an atmosphere of calm and reverence.

We did the Khopra Danda Trek and had an absolutely amazing experience with the whole team. From start to finish, Madhav and Sharan organized everything so well and thoughtfully. Our yoga guide Ashish, was incredible, bringing a special balance of energy and calm to the journey, and Chhiring was equally fantastic, always supportive, kind, and full of positivity.
Even though the weather wasn’t always on our side during the monsoon, the footprint team made sure we got the most out of every day. With their encouragement and flexibility, we still enjoyed beautiful moments on the trail and turned the challenges into part of the adventure. It made the whole experience even more special and memorable. Thank you once again, Footprint Adventure, for organizing our fourth trek already 🙏🌺

We had a wonderful day with our guide. He made sure that we always had enough water. Ganesh showed us the UNESCO sites and at each place we had enough time to enjoy the place and he showed us the best spots for good photos. He also recommended us a good restaurant with great food and a great view. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. 

We had a really great time! They were very warm and friendly and made the cooking class a wonderful experience for us. We cooked three dishes, which we had to agree on at the beginning. Everyone was working together, and the food was very tasty. The kitchen and dining area were very clean, so you felt completely at ease.
