Footprint Adventure started as a conversation between local guides who have spent decades navigating the trails of Nepal. We saw firsthand how traditional tourism was changing our home, and we knew there was a better way to operate. Instead of just moving groups from one peak to another, we built an agency that prioritizes the health of our mountains and the dignity of the people who live among them. Our roots are in the soil of Nepal, and our focus is on finding a balance between the excitement of a trek and the responsibility we have toward the landscape.
We believe a journey is only successful if the benefits are shared. This is why we view our team as family rather than just staff. By providing fair wages and consistent work for local porters and guides, your visit directly supports the economy of remote mountain villages. Our guides are the heart of our trips. They grew up in these valleys and know the mountain weather and wildlife better than anyone. Looking after the land is part of our daily work. We focus on practical steps like getting rid of plastics and making sure all trash comes back out with us. These high paths are easy to damage, so we treat them with the same care we show our own homes. To help keep these trails healthy, we put a share of what we earn back into planting trees and supporting the people who live here.
