Chhring Tamang

Chhiring Tamang is our licensed trekking guide and started his career in the mountains as a porter for Footprint Adventure. Over the course of a year, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, a keen attention to detail, and a deep passion for the mountains. As a result, he was successfully certified as a licensed guide and has since been leading successful treks in the Himalayas of Nepal.

Chhiring is best known for his friendly and approachable personality and his deep commitment to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of his clients. He is skilled in providing guidance and support to trekkers of all levels of experience, and is always eager to share his extensive knowledge of the local geography, culture, and history. Despite his relatively short career as a guide, Chhiring has already established himself as an expert in his field. He is well-versed in a variety of trekking routes throughout the Himalayas, and has a particular expertise in leading groups to remote and off-the-beaten-path destinations.

He mainly specializes in leading treks in the Everest Region — a place close to his heart. Among all the trekking routes, his favorite is the classic Everest Base Camp trek, which he enjoys for its accessibility and breathtaking beauty. Throughout his career, Chhiring has completed Leadership Training to strengthen his guiding skills and leadership abilities. He loves guiding because it allows him to meet new people, learn new things, and share the culture and beauty of the mountains. One of his favorite moments during trekking is reaching the destination after long hours of walking — a feeling of achievement that he loves to celebrate with his guests.

Chhiring takes great pride in his work as a guide, and is passionate about providing his clients with an unforgettable and rewarding mountain adventure. He is known for going above and beyond to ensure that his clients have a safe, enjoyable, and authentic trekking experience. Outside of his work as a guide, Chhiring enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and pursuing his hobbies of photography and hiking. He is also committed to giving back to his local community, as he is from the Himalayas in the Solukhumbu district.
