  • After visiting the memorial, we visit the Tashichho Dzong, a grand fortress that serves as the seat of Bhutan’s government and a religious center.

      • After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll embark on an exciting journey to the majestic nunnery atop Walakha Hill before continuing our journey north to the stunning Namgyal Chorten.
      • The chorten sits atop a ridge near the Punakha River and requires a 30-minute drive from town, followed by a 45-minute uphill hike.
      • Next, we’ll visit the Punakha Dzong situated at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chhu rivers.
      • Spend the night at a hotel in Punakha.
        • On this day, you leave Punakha behind and travel towards the serene valley of Phobjikha, also known as Gangtey.
        • Here, we will visit the mesmerizing Gangtey Monastery. This monastery not only serves as a spiritual center but also offers a breathtaking view of the valley below. This stunning place also serves as the winter habitat for endangered black-necked cranes.
        • Spend the night in Gangtey and prepare for the next morning's adventure. 
          • On this day, embark on a stunning journey as you bid farewell to the serenity of Phobjikha Valley and set your journey towards the enchanting town of Paro. En route, we stop to visit the Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of Bhutan built in 1627 A.D, and now serving as the school for Buddhist studies.

            • After breakfast, we leave for a hike to Paro Taktsang Monastery which will take around 2 hours to reach the top.
            • This hike is a test of both wonder and determination. For those who cannot walk uphill, a horse can be managed for their comfort.
            • The views along the way are awe-inspiring, with glimpses of the lush Paro Valley and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. After your hike, take a walk in the streets of Paro for some shopping and a delicious lunch in a cozy place.
