I have done a lot of trekking adventures to the Himalayas in Nepal, but I was always curious about how it would feel to climb an alpine peak. I did some research on what was the recommended expedition in Nepal for beginners, then I came across the Mera Peak Climbing which is apparently the ‘highest trekking peak of Nepal’. I was looking for a an immersive journey not just a scaling game on the alpine slope but an actual experience that felt like real mountaineering. So, I started doing research on the best agencies and package that could help create lifelong memories and may even push me to chase my passion for mountaineering. One of my fellow trekker who I got in touch with via a travel forum recommended me to Footprint Adventure, and let me tell you this, the experience wasn’t simply extraordinary. Our climbing guide Chiiring Sherpa who hails from the Sherpa clan that have conquered the highest mountain in the world lead us to the top of this incredible peak. We had an incredible time on this trek! From getting us picked up at the airport to dropping us back off after the trek, every piece of the trip was well-executed and handled really well. Sharan was very informative and so helpful with all of our questions. We felt well-prepared and well-advised on packing before we arrived, and then were able to knock out any last minute items we forgot in Kathmandu. Our guides, Khila and Sukar, were absolutely incredible. They took great care of us, knew what questions to ask to make sure we were healthy and safe, and sprung into quick action if anyone wasn't feeling well. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. In our research on tea houses along the route, none were as nice as those secured by Footprint. Our porters were so sweet, and when Sukar had to accompany one of our group back down the mountain (altitude sickness), one of them even stepped up as a second guide for us, making sure we all could move at the speed we were most comfortable. As a professional photographer, I was keen to capture the Himalayas from unique angles, and the Everest Heli Tour with FA was a fantastic choice. The early morning light painted the peaks in golden hues, and the landing at Kalapatthar allowed me to shoot stunning landscapes. Breakfast at the Everest View Hotel offered more opportunities for creative shots. FA’s attention to detail and seamless logistics made this an unforgettable photography expedition!

Our Nepal experience was made truly unforgettable by Abhishek, an exceptional guide who flawlessly organized every detail. Behind the scenes, he handled permits, lodging, site visits, transportation, and more with remarkable efficiency.

Abhishek was like magic, addressing any requests with speed and effectiveness. Whether it was cow bells, prayer flags, stamps, or weavings, he made it happen. Throughout the trek, he took time to review our daily plans and personally checked in with each of us to address any concerns.

He also hired outstanding hardworking porter, and we were all grateful for their dedication. Even when we faced a water crisis at our hotel upon returning from trekking, Abhishek quickly assessed the situation, organized a beautiful new hotel, and arranged transportation. It was like magic!

Beyond his professional skills, Abhishek exuded personal authenticity. He worked tirelessly to support the local community financially and contributed to environmental conservation efforts for future generations. My sister and I decided to use Footprint Adventures to book the Poon Hill trek, and we're so glad we did. As first-time trekkers, we had a lot of questions before we got there, and Sharan always answered them quickly and thoroughly. As soon as we got off the plane in Kathmandu, we felt right at home because we were warmly welcomed and taken to our lovely accommodations. The team made sure that we always stayed in the most comfortable tea houses and that all of our needs were met. During the whole trip, we felt safe and in good hands.
